Finally, a useful app that can help you out if you find yourself hugging a bottle under the rain, lost in Peckham.
GetTaxi allows you to call a cab by just pushing a button. It works wonderfully, and it is very simple to use: open the app, and you will see a map and your location, marked by the GPS. Then enter your data and click “Booking Options”, or choose from your recent trips from “Rides”.
While you are waiting for the car, you can check its current location, the plate and even the driver’s face, so you do not jump on another, dodgy car. All the drivers are fully licensed black cabbies, therefore they will not nick your shoes.
Easy and reliable service, then, but just check if they serve the area in which you are having fun, because the service is still at its first stages, and might not cover it.
